I was helping my mom out the kitchen and we were having a conversation about money. And how some of our family relatives are fookin selfish.
Im not talking about my mom side. My mom side? Hah! How ever weird or cranky or bitchy their attitude is, selfishness is never practiced. If someone needs help, no problemo! There has been alot of financial help between each other throughout the years. Even if you dont need help, they still give you money! To the ones that arent so financially fortunate especially. Or even the ones who were, when they are down, others did help. I feel proud of my mom's side, really.
Now my dad's side. Is a different story.
I remember the day that i was applying for school, and we have no money. And we didnt want to borow from my aunt on my mother side, cos i think someone else was borowing from her, and we didnt want to weigh her down.
So, my dad's younger sister's husband.. his adik ipah lah, just received retirement money or someting. And, he was a police officer. Like those high ranks one? So u must have guessed, YEAH he got a shitload of money.
My dad had to BEG to borrow. And you know what my uncle said? He said, he cant loan it to my dad cos he needs the money for his kids' university or something.
Fuckin pissed me off lah! Firstly yeah he's got a few kids, but all of them were already working except for ONE who's still finishing secondary school. WTF kan.
The money i was going to borrow was like probably... 1% of his wealth, maybe lesser! Cos his wife, my dad's sister, passed away a year before or something. She worked her ass, my uncle worked his ass, both have retirement money, received shitloads of cpf money, still worked her ass after retirement, insurance money... you name it, they were practically king and queen of england.
I told my dad, forget it, dont need to beg from a selfish idiot. I wont go to school. I'll just fuckin work. So yah.
I know its not nice talking about the dead, but i just have to say this. Once when my aunt, before she passed away, received her cpf money i think. 17K. 17K okay? Do you know how much she gave my dad? Her most eldest brother? 20 freako dollars eh?

Might as well dont give right? My dad and mum laugh it off though. They said they were thankful, but they also said, might as well they never recieve anything.
Pathethic right. My mom's side, paling sikit diorang kasi $50 LAH! And even then thats not the average my mom always get. $100 - $200 usually. Ini $20?
